Comments:  A big ole patty that was quite tasty.  The rest was suppose to be smoked this and that but it really wasn't very smoky.  I was charged 17.00 then told them I didn't want a side so they charged me $17 anyway.   Not cool.

Mediterranean Wonder

Name of Burger: Mediterranean Wonder

Establishment:
Big Burger

Size:  7.5 oz Island Beef Patty

Toppings:
Bacon
Smoked Gourmet Cheddar
Romaine Lettuce
Fresh Tomato Slices
Grilled Alfalfa Sprouts
Onion Tanglers
House-made Wonder Sauce
Grilled Sesame Seed Bun
Garnished with Sweet Potatoes

Price$11.00

Rating:  6 out of 10

Other Comments:  Let me start by saying the star of the show on this burger is the PEI beef and it was delicious. This burger is huge too. The alfalfa sprouts and onion tanglers were also intriguing and added a unique flavor and texture which I liked.  What I didn't care for was the way the ingredients blended together. It was a mismatch that didn't work all that well.  It also included my biggest pet peeve burger mistake.  Putting lettuce and tomato on the bottom instead of the top is unacceptable.  You end up with a big pile of mess with no bottom bun left and a big piece of top bun.  If there are any future burger chefs reading this, just take my advice and don't put the lettuce and tomato on the bottom.  If anyone disagrees with me, you are wrong and we can't be friends. haha.

Other Comments:

Give me more please.  I can't say anything bad about this burger, it was absolutely delicious.  Every single ingredient went perfect together.  Candied bacon is a food group.  I loved the cheese and the Brick sauce tasted a bit like donair sauce but creamier.  Garlic aioli maybe?
I'll leave the 10/10  on the board just in case but this one is going to be hard to beat.

Toasted Kaiser Bun
Garnished with a Deep-fried House-made Poutine Ball stuffed with Cheese Curds, Creamy Mashed Potato, and Swiss Chalet Gravy

Price$15.00

Rating:  6.5 out of 10

Other Comments:
I had high hopes for this one, I heard multiple good reviews but ultimately it came up a bit short in my book.  The topping of a mash potato and gravy poutine ball was good.  I started the burger with a couple bites and a thumbs up thinking it was going to be knock out, but I came out of it thinking the burger was over cooked and even burnt in a few spots.  I don't mind goat cheese but it's strong flavor with the strong flavor of the parmesan crust on the onion ring was a bit too much on some of the bites.  The pulled pork and rib sauce was good and would of enjoyed a bit more of that and less goat cheese.  6.5 out of 10 maybe a bit low but considering the price was $15.00, I'd say they could of done better and so can you.

Dill-licious
Boomburger never disappoints when it comes to making your everyday burger just the way you like it.  However for PEIBurgerLove I'd like to see them think a little outside the box for a change and surprise us.  This was a very good burger but the dill sauce was very subtle and it wasn't enough to make this taste much different than what you can buy there every day of the year.
That being said it's done at a reasonable price and still very good.

'92 Burger

Name of Burger: '92 Burger

Establishment:

Sam's Restaurant

Size:  2 - 4oz Island Beef Patty

Toppings:
2 - 4oz Island Beef Patties
Cranberry Salsa
Chipotle Avocado Ranch
Hickory Smoked Bacon
Applewood Smoked Cheddar
Crisp Lettuce
Kettle Chips
Toasted Poppy Seed Bun
Topped with a Sriracha Cheese Ball

Price$12.00

Rating: 8 out of 10

Other Comments:
I usually can't recommend getting PEIBurgerLove to go because they usually end up cold and mushy by the time you get it home. Sam's seems to have avoided that with a very well put together burger and a bun big enough to handle it all.  I though I was eating one thick burger but the description says 2 patties. If that's the case they did it right with nothing in between to make it slip and slide around too much.  Don't get me wrong, this one can be a bit messy, but not overkill. The sriracha cheese ball on top is delish to start with.  The first bite of burger had a good kick, it must of been the chipotle sauce but other bites had a nice combo of bacon and cranberry salsa. YUM

“THE ISLAND TRADITION OF 'FRIES WITH THE WORKS' ON A BURGER! ”
PEI BurgerLove is back and therefore so is the Zekeamania Burger Blog.
Welcome Burger lovers!
I'd say this is a pretty unique burger, can't say I've ever had one with gravy on it before.  While I'll say the gravy wasn't the best, it was a bit bland, overall the burger as a whole did taste very much like fries with the works and was not bad at all.  I expect better ones out there and worst ones so this is middle of the road.  The side of fries are pretty awesome. They appear to be fresh cut and a perfectly cooked. Kudos, Whisky Pub!

With 73 restaurants this year I better go hit the treadmill. Or maybe have a sleep. Ya, sleep it is.
